Youth Leadership Council

ACYR’s Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is designed to engage youth to become more involved within our community now and in the future. Youth are trained to enter meaningful roles in the policy and decision-making processes within the local Youth Workforce Development System, their schools, communities, and places of employment

Having our voices heard, by providing information and taking action in the community to create a better image of youth.

Changing people’s opinion about the youth by making a positive change in our local communities, schools, and businesses.

Youth Leadership Council creates change in our community through:

Identifying issues within your community & create resolutions

Transforming communities & creating positive social change in the world.

Providing a valuable youth perspective to the organization’s work.

Dedication to youth leadership, service-learning, diversity, and educational achievement for all.

Our YLC program is operated on the principles of project-based learning and assists youth with developing leadership and facilitation skills. To ensure our program is a success, our youth are full partners in the process.
