2026 Birdies For Charity Event
Waste Management Phoenix Open
Every dollar pledged for our Birdies For Charity Event comes right back to ACYR to support 1,500 young adults in our community to earn educational credentials and learn skills to find meaningful employment.
Help support ACYR by volunteering at a concession tent during the WMPO. ALL TIPS EARNED during your shift will go towards ACYR and be matched 10% by Thunderbird Charities. Also, all volunteers will receive one FREE entrance ticket to the WMPO to use on the day of their choosing after they have volunteered.
How It Works
When you pledge one penny for every birdie made, your pledge would amount to about $15. It will be matched 10% by the Thunderbirds Charity to $16.50.
How To Participate
Visit Birdies for Charity and Select “Per Birdie Pledge or One Time Donation”
- Select “Per Birdie Pledge” or One Time Donation Then select “Continue”
- Enter Your Information select “Continue”
- Select “Continue” to complete your pledge or flat donation.
- Click Pledge or one time donation.
- Choose “Arizona Center for Youth Resources – ACYR” as your charity.
- If a staff or board member asked you to donate, please enter their name in the text box, Name of athlete or Student requesting donation.
About The Program
In association with Thunderbird Charities & The Waste Management Phoenix Open, The Birdies For Charity program centers around the PGA TOUR professionals making birdies lots of them during the tournament. PGA TOUR professionals have averaged about 1,500 birdies during tournament play.
