Adult Education Programs in Phoenix
ACYR offers multiple adult education programs in Phoenix to support adults at different stages of their educational journey. Each adult education program at ACYR is designed to support learners at different starting points. Below is an overview to help you understand which option may be the best fit for your goals.
The HSE (High School Equivalency Diploma) Prep Program  is designed to prepare students, age 16 and older, to pass the GED® tests in Math, Social Studies, English, and Science; along with the AZ Civics test. Completing theses tests provides students with their High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma.
The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Program is designed to provide English language instruction from basic to high intermediate level for students 16 and older. The program integrates the four components of English learning (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) with job readiness skills such as resume writing and interviewing skills.

Certification Preparation Programs Available
IT Fundamentals program provides introductory training for IT that leads to a certification, CompTIA IT Fundamentals. Students learn about computer hardware & software, security, networks, servers, and troubleshooting. Classes focus on preparing you for training that includes, vocabulary, career exploration, soft skills, and the Math and English necessary for the class.Â
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program partners with Accord Healthcare and Arizona@Work – City of Phoenix to provide introductory training as a Certified Nursing Assistant that leads to certification. Students participate in lecture classes, skill labs, and clinicals. Classes focus on helping you prepare to participate in training that includes, vocabulary, career exploration, soft skills, and the Math and English necessary for the class.
